Eligibility for consideration for conferment of the title Emeritus Professor normally is restricted, on retirement to holders of a structural or personal professorial title, and after not less than ten years’ service with the University. Conferment of the title shall be restricted to those who are deemed to have made a distinguished contribution to teaching and research in their chosen academic field, and in service to the University in general.
